Peanut pearls have a somewhat semi baroque shape to them, they are not perfectly round or off – round. They have many different names like twin pearls or double potato pearls.
These pearls have many different types such as wheat, drop, coin, rice, oblong shaped, button, nuggets and many more. Rice pearls are shaped like a rice grain and are usually very small in size. Top drilled wheat pearls have a high luster and they are drop shaped. They are usually available in black, white, baby pink or unusual colors like peach.
If you want to make different and unique style jewelry then you can use large size peanut pearls. These pearls can be drilled at one end or along the length of them, if they are placed one after another on a strand, they look like two pearls growing together. They come in different colors like peacock, blue, black, and grey with various overtones. Cream colored peanut pearls look very elegant and stylish.
Cross or crucifix pearls are pearls with a cross or crucifix shape and are very unique and can be used as pendant or necklace.
