Make classic stud pearl earrings

Pearl earrings are all time favorite, as you know there are many different types of earrings are available in the jewelry market; but Pearl stud earrings are most popular and classic type of earrings. You can easily make these pearl stud earrings by yourself.

For making stud earrings you just need one pair of cup post of appropriate size, size of this post depends upon diameter of pearl; one pair of ear clutch and two half drilled pearl beads. You don’t require very sophisticated and expensive tools for making this simple yet classic pearl earrings, you just need jeweler’s file; don’t worry if you don’t have this then you can use your nail file and good quality glue & most important just your 5 minutes!

Now let’s start with actual making pearl stud earrings. First we have to assemble all the components. Make sure that finding and clutches you chosen are appropriate with size of beads. You can have many different metal settings like white gold, yellow gold, platinum or even sterling silver for finding and posts. Even there are lot of options are available for type and quality of pearls.

Now using nail file, file the area around hole of half drilled pearls, this is to make area smooth and flat for better and secure sticking of pearl posts. Do not file more than 15-20 seconds, further filing can damage surface of pearl.

Now hold one post in one hand now apply some glue to shorter post within cup, grooves present inside cup will help glue to stick to metal. Do not apply too much glue. Spread this glue evenly; now just slide your half drilled pear onto post. Press pearl down gently now earring to dry.

Make sure that applied glue is completely then add ear clutch and your classic pearl earrings are ready!
