Cultured pearls- this is a manmade pearl where the irritants are induced in the body of the oyster. When this happens, the oyster starts secreting a substance called nacre. This nacre coats the foreign material till a smooth and an even pearl is formed. Cultured pearls means the oysters are harvested alive, then induced with an irritant in a laboratory and are re-planted in the sea again to form a pearl.
Glass pearls- glass pearls are the genuine pearls that can be either natural or cultured ones. They are available in different colors, shapes, qualities and weights. They are basically used by the fashion industry and the jewelry designers to attract the public and make them buy these lustrous pearls. They appear like real pearls and are available at a reasonable cost. Thus, you can enjoy the look of real pearls with these glass pearls.
