Making White, grey and black pearls multi-strand necklace

This beautiful multi-strand necklace can be perfect adornment for some semi-formal occasion. This piece of jewelry has elegance and class of those beautiful white, grey and black freshwater pearls with a modern twist.

For making this multi-strand necklace you will require; beading monofilament or thread, beading needle, scissors, clear craft glue, some white, grey and black pearls, a necklace clasp of your choice. If you like, you can even add some mother of pearl pendant or some other pearl pendant in the necklace. If you are adding pendant, make sure that it does not take away beauty of these beautiful freshwater pearls.

Determine the length of necklace first. Princess length is the most common length for pearl necklace. After determining the length of the necklace, cut the beading filament or cord four times that length. To begin with beading, attach one side of the clasp to one end of the cord. With craft glue, secure the clasps on cord.

You can have various patterns with these three colored pearls. You can either have three strands of pearls with each having different colored pearls or some variation on every cord.

If you want variation on each cord then, thread out about fifteen white pearls first. After that, fifteen grey pearls and black pearl at the end. While beading second cord, first slide grey pearls, then black pearl and white pearls at the end. And on third cord black pearl first followed by grey pearls and white pearls at the end.

You can make two sets of these three cords and incorporate Mother of pearl pendant on between them. If you don’t want pearl pendant then you can just joint other part of clasps to other end of these three cords. You can try many such variations with pearls available. With just little creativity and good color combination, you can make elegant yet modern necklace for yourself.
