The most common type of pearl clasps is 'spring ring clasps’; this is round clasps with small leaver that controls functioning of the clasps. This type of clasp is especially used for expensive jewelry as it adds some extra strength to the jewelry. The lobster claw clasp is tradition style of the clasp; it is usually used for securing bracelet and necklaces. A tip that opens and closes the spring in the clasps controls this clasp.

The toggle clasps, has on bar shaped narrow piece which is pushed through the metal loop. This clasps is little expensive than other type of clasps but it is very attractive. All these clasps are available in many different metals like sterling silver, yellow gold, and white gold.
