Conch Pearls

In Conch pearls there is no nacre, so they are not actual pearls. These gems are calcareous concentrations. It is produced in a Queen Conch mollusk from the Caribbean Islands. Since there is no method of culturing these mollusks, they are extremely rare and valuable.

Conch pearls are usually small in size and baroque or oval in shape. Most Conch pearls are pink, yellow, brown, white or golden. White and Brown colored pearls are most rare. Conch pearls are heavier, harder, and more resistant than any other pearls.

With these beautiful colors, Conch Pearls have an important surface feature called a “Flame structure”. This structure gives burning a appearance to pearl's surface. This structure appears in pink and pink-white colors. This flame structure is unique for conch pearls and not seen on any other gemstone. This structure is so amazing, that the chances of imitating this pearl are very low.

The color on Conch pearls often tend to fade significantly over time. Excessive sunlight is one reason for it, so it is recommended not to wear Conch Pearls in direct sunlight. Since these pearls are so rare and unique, finding matching pearls for a set is a very difficult task.

The increasing problem of environmental pollution is endangering these rare mollusks. But now with the internet, you can buy a conch pearl pendant at the lowest wholesale price directly from pearl farm without any problems.
