Pearl types

Pearls have always been cause of attraction for many centuries. They are the most precious among all the gemstones as they are created by living organism. Pearls reveal the kind of purity and warmth that we never found in other gems, due to their unique beginning. They are found in oyster and existing in many types discussed bellow:

Chinese Freshwater Pearls: Chinese Freshwater Pearls are full-fledged in a remarkable variety of fragile shapes ranging from round and oval to button, drop and baroque. They are available in variety of colors vary from pure white to orange and rosy violet.

Australian pearls: The Australian South sea pearls are the rarest and premium cultured pearls among all the pearls. Very few pearls have such natural beauty in them. These are the high grade pearls with high quality luster, smooth surface, without any artificial bleaching or dying.

South Sea pearls: There are two basic types of south sea pearls and they are black and white. White pearls are mostly cultured in northern water of Australia, Philippines and Indonesia. They have rare and exceptional size from 8 to 20mm.
Black pearl of South Pacific are the legendry one and are normally found on Cook Islands, eastwards.

Tahitian Pearls: Cultured pearl of Tahiti is magic and perfection. Most of them come from the atolls and lagoons of south pacific. They vary in size from 7 to 15mm. available in variety of color such as silver, dark or light grey. The rarest color is greenish black like that of peacock feather.

Akoya pearls: Akoya pearls are the classic amongst all the other pearls. Basically they are available in round or oval shape measured in about 2 to 10mm. color ranges from pinkish white to creamy shades and silvery blue.

Keshi pearls: These are quite different from those usually round shape pearls instead they are available in many varieties so they can be studded on desired jewelry item. They arise impulsively in Akoya culture. South sea pearls.

Mabe pearls: The mabe pearls are gorgeous half pearls. With beautiful rainbow colored iridescence. These pearls were named so after mabe pearl oyster which is found in tropical seas of southeast.
