While looking through some beading books recently, I picked up a very useful tip: how to make a wire jig- see picture on left. For those who bead, you'll know what I'm talking about: it basically involves a rather simple yet complicated way of using round nosed pliers to make these crazy little loops with wire.

After a few hours, lots of broken bits of wire and ugly red blisters, I finally managed to complete a wire jig creation that I was proud to call my own:
